The Howard University Alumni Association Hosts Fundraiser to Benefit Students at Historic Yacht Club

WASHINGTON - July 2, 2014 - PRLog -- The Howard University Alumni Association (HUAA) will host a Summer Soirée Fundraiser on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the historic Seafarer’s Yacht Club in Annapolis, Maryland as a part of the organization’s 50^th Anniversary celebration in an effort to raise money for scholarships to support Howard University Students.

"As a continuing celebration of the HUAA 50^th Anniversary, we are excited about the Summer Soiree Fundraiser on the shores of Annapolis. This is just another way for alumni, friends, and supporters of HUAA to get together for fun and fundraising to benefit Howard University,” opines Chris Washington, President of the Howard University Alumni Association. “We’re expecting alumni from across the country to come out for this magnificent milestone, and we especially look forward to the support of our constituent units located in the Greater Washington, DC area,” says Keith Benn, Steering Committee Chairperson for the HUAA 50^th Anniversary.

Howard University alumni and friends who are unable to participate in the Summer Soiree may still show their support by making a financial contribution to HUAA.

WHAT:          Summer Soirée Fundraiser
A fundraising event to support students and benefit Howard University, highlight include a barbecue, disc jockey, yacht tour, and pool party for alumni, family, and friends.
