Southeast Toyota Distributors Announces Newly Hired Vice President of Sales Operations

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - July 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Ed Sheehy, President of Southeast Toyota Distributors, announced that Billy Hayes has joined the company as Vice President of Sales Operations. In this newly created role, Hayes oversees the Field Sales and Training departments. Southeast Toyota Distributors (http://www.southeast.buyatoyota.com/) is the world’s largest independent distributor of Toyotas and Scions, accounting for approximately 20 percent of all Toyotas sold in the country.

Hayes has extensive automotive experience, beginning his career in Atlanta with retail sales and sales management positions. He has also held various regional, national and global roles at Nissan Motor Company, working in Human Resources, Vehicle Program Management, Retail Training, Market Representation, Dealer Operations, Network Strategy, and Sales and Service Quality.

For the past two years, Hayes has been based in Japan where he served as Nissan's Vice President of Global Zero Emissions Vehicles.

In addition to his automotive background, Hayes served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a medic. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management, and a master’s degree in business administration. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bates College. Hayes has relocated to South Florida, and is married with two children.
