New non-profit organization Youth Konnection aims to help youth better ‘konnect’

INDIANAPOLIS - July 10, 2014 - PRLog -- With a vision and more passion than you could ever imagine, Indianapolis native Clark Howard is beyond ready to share his lifelong dream and passion with the community with the startup of his non-profit organization, Youth Konnection who uses the slogan, “to help youth better ‘konnect’ with the world around them.”

Howard who is legally deaf has never let his disability stop him from pursuing his dreams and hopes Youth Konnection will do the same for youth in the community.

“My vision is for youth to experience the world and travel all before college. I also want youth to be a part of mentoring, performing arts and tutoring programs.” said Howard.

Youth Konnection will officially open its doors to the youth in 2015 but the organization plans to start some of its programming later this summer to engage and involve interested youth, parents and community members.

“One of the first events we are going to have is a car wash in which youth will have the opportunity to engage with each other by having fun while also learning a good work ethic.” said Howard.

The car wash is tentatively scheduled for August and will feature a live DJ and food for community members to enjoy.  More details in regards to the car wash will be released soon.
