Bachelor Bachelorette Auction August 15th Benefits Justa Center, Elder Homeless Day Center

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - July 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Zulu Club, Scottsdale’s newest modern-chic dining and cocktail venue in Scottsdale Airpark is hosting Justa Center’s 2^nd Annual Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction, Friday, August 15^th from 6-10pm.   Ten eligible, handsome bachelors and ten lovely bachelorettes will be walking the red carpet for homeless Arizona seniors to raise funding and awareness.

Seniors deserve a place to call home.  The streets are not safe for the fastest-growing and most vulnerable segment of our homeless population, seniors 55+.  Justa Center is the safety net that catches those older adults who find themselves homeless and too often slip through the cracks.  They help “members” address the problems that have caused their homelessness, which include catastrophic medical issues, job loss, loss of a home or spouse, substance abuse, and/or mental health issues.

Justa Center is a 501 C 3 non-profit day resource center serving over 130 homeless seniors daily, 30% of whom are veterans.  Justa Center works to find safe and appropriate housing, provides basic healthcare and nutritional assistance, offers mental health and employment counseling, and helps locate and secure earned benefits  (Social Security, AHCCCS, VA) to rebuild the lives of  their members.  Since opening its doors in 2006, 7,000 homeless seniors have visited Justa Center and more than 2,250 have been moved into homes.

Justa Center is much more than a resource center for older adults, it is a place of hope, mentorship, empowerment, reassurance, advocacy, problem-solving, and restoration.

Tickets for the bachelore, bachelorette auction can be purchased online at www.justscenter.org by simply clicking on the “bachelor auction” link to make a $50 tax-deductible donation to reserve a seat.  Ticket price includes entry into the event, 2 drink tickets and gourmet appetizers.  There will be a no host bar and dinner available for individual purchase.  Sponsorships and Date Package Donations are gladly being accepted.
