By: John Paul Alvarez for State Representative Fellow public school teacher and highly respected Florida State Senator Dwight Bullard (District 39) is the latest legislator to give Alvarez his enthusiastic support, writing this in a new South Florida Sun Times feature story published today: "As a six-year veteran of the Florida Legislature, it’s my pleasure to endorse John Paul Alvarez...John’ The Alvarez campaign is thrilled to have such a strong endorsement from a legislator Alvarez admires greatly, one he says he hopes to emulate in office: "Senator Bullard is exactly the kind of hard-working, no-strings-attached progressive champion for the people that I want to be in the legislature. I'm proud to have him in my corner in this HD 100 race." In recent days John has also picked up key endorsements from the Florida National Organization for Women (NOW), Democracy For America, Progressive Majority, and most recently from the national progressive organization, People for the American Way.
