Miami Dade Chamber Of Commerce Women's Business Council Annual Hat & Tea Luncheon Returns July 19

MIAMI - July 18, 2014 - PRLog -- “The Mind, Body and Soul remains the core focus of the 3rd Annual Hat & Tea Luncheon”, said G. Eric Knowles, President / CEO of Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce.  “Given the amount of responsibilities that today’s modern women faces, it is paramount that they embrace these three core areas of their lives.  To effectively manage their personal, business, social, spiritual and family lives, these three areas; mind, body, and soul must be exercised.”

During the event, attendees will attend sessions centered on these core areas of balance.  MIND Sessions will focus on business growth and enrichment; BODY sessions will include a health forum and  “Rip the Runway”- a fashion show featuring styles by Voluptuous You; and SOUL sessions will spur motivation and meditation.

This year’s keynote address will be delivered by 2014 White House ‘Champion of Change’ honoree Felicia Hatcher.  Author, Social Entrepreneur and the Chief ‘Popsicle’ of Feverish Ice Cream & Gourmet Pops, Hatcher has been recognized as Black Enterprise Magazine’s Innovator of the Week and Essence Magazine’s Tech Master. Ms. Hatcher has been featured on the NBC Today Show, The Cooking Channel and Grio’s 100 African American’s Making History. Felecia’s Miami based gourmet popsicle company ‘Feverish’, serves clients like Google, Capitol Records, Adidas, 32 Degrees, Vitamin Water, Wholefoods and Forever 21 with custom vegan friendly gourmet pops and private label frozen desserts. Felecia is also the author of 2 books How to Start a Business on a Ramen Noodle Budget, and The C Students Guide to Scholarships.

The program will also honor Businesswoman Carole Ann Taylor with an award that will be presented annually in her name and on her behalf. The Carole Ann Taylor Legend Award honors exceptional women who actively promote, create and celebrate the successes of girls and women in business throughout South Florida, the US and the world.  These honorees work tirelessly on behalf of women in business and as Servant Leaders to improve all communities.

Event admission is $40 for Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce members and $50 for non-members. Corporate tables are $350 for Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce members and $450 for non-members. Corporate sponsorships include a table of ten and company recognition at the event.
