Zephyr Partners Taps Former Ryland Homes Exec to Serve as New COO

SAN DIEGO - July 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Continuing to expand its leadership team, Zephyr Partners – a private real estate development and investment company focusing on residential assets – has named award-winning custom homebuilder and former Ryland Homes executive Chris Beucler its new chief operating officer.

In his new role, Beucler will take charge of all operations for Zephyr Partners Real Estate Group, overseeing entitlements, forward planning, product development, construction and sales and marketing.

According to Brad Termini, co-CEO of Zephyr, the addition of Beucler, a 30-year residential real estate veteran, signals future growth and countywide expansion for the NorthCounty firm. The company recently hired several new executives and staff members, and to keep pace with rapid growth, moved into spacious new Encinitas offices.

“We have grown our firm by 300 percent over the last few years, and are thrilled to have Chris on board as we continue to build momentum,” he said. “With his unique experience and vision, we will continue to concentrate on expanding all facets of the firm, in particular the Signature Series, our custom home division.”

Capitalizing on a surging demand for new product, Zephyr has established three focuses – entitlement/land repurposing, custom homes and vertical condos – within its business model. “We have developed a very strategic, opportunistic approach, which we believe Chris – with his strong operating insight and hands-on building expertise – will help expand and improve,” said Termini.

Beucler, who for the last 10 years has owned and operated Beucler Signature Homes, was also owner/president of Johnson Beucler Communities, and for more than 12 years was an executive with Ryland Homes. While at Ryland, he was president of the Riverside/San Diego region, before being promoted to president of Southern California, taking charge of all operations throughout that region.

A licensed contractor, Beucler’s track record in the custom homes arena is equally impressive. He has built high-end, custom homes throughout San Diego County – from Carmel Valley to Bonsall – earning the prestigious Tour De’ Elegance “Best of Show” award in 2003.

Beucler lives in the Bonsall neighborhood of San Diego County.
