Session titled ‘How to be a good writer/author’ by Vikrant Khanna

July 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Gurgaon, July 2014: Youngsters are now as much interested in writing as they are in writing. 3- book-old author Vikrant Khanna shared the techniques behind good writing with the students of IIA Group of Institutions. The session titled ‘How to be a good writer/author’ was a huge hit among the students, who lapped up every bit of knowledge that Vikrant had to share. During the session, he also talked about his latest book ‘Love Lasts Forever’ that was published in May, 2014.

More than 80 students participated in this session and asked a flurry of questions to Vikrant, and the author did not leave a single question unanswered. Faculty members, along with Principal- Rajiv Kumar Misra, were also present during the session.

About the techniques behind good writing, Vikrant said, “It is very important to be a good reader in order to be a good writer. One should never write to impress, but to express. One should also read books cutting across genres, and not just be fixated on one.” Talking about Love Lasts Forever, he said, “It is a romantic novel, where the love story has been spiced up by the presence of Pirates of the Gulf of Aden. Every couple will find a part of themselves in the book.”

Principal- Rajiv Kumar Misra said, “I am amazed at the fact that Vikrant is such a good multi-tasker. He manages his career as a merchant navy captain, apart from following his passion as an author. He can teach the kids so much and also inspire them.”

During the one hour session, students seemed to be very excited. An interactive quiz contest was also conducted in which students were actively participated. The event ended with lots of fun and enthusiasm.
