Follow on Google News | ![]() Cypress Equities Welcomes New StaffBy: Cypress Equities Joining Cypress as a senior project manager, Steve Armstrong is responsible for site due diligence, project work-scope development, contract management and construction management, as well as serving as the liaison between Cypress and the site team. Steve comes to Cypress with 25 years’ experience as a project manager, most recently at the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso, where he was responsible for the design and construction of the renovation of more than 6,000 public housing units and 2,300 tax credit properties. Steve studied Finance at Fresno State University and is a member of the US Green Building Council and the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties. As senior project manager, Thomas Crowther is responsible for consultant selection and procurement, budget oversight, entitlements, and overall project management of real estate developments. Before coming to Cypress, Thomas worked with The Beck Group as a senior project manager/integrated project leader where he led a team of architects, civil engineers, structural engineers and construction managers on a mixed-use retail development phased expansion. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and is very involved in the Dallas Real Estate Council, ICSC and Dallas ISD Business Education Success Committee. Renetta Gill recently re-joined the Cypress family as the construction project coordinator, where she supports the project managers with all construction projects. Before coming back to Cypress, she was the event director at Venetian Terrace where she handled the day-to-day operations including all staff management, event management, marketing and business accounting. Renetta previously served Cypress as the assistant property manager, where she supported the asset management team with all the shopping center property management. Dash Krause comes to Cypress as a development analyst after serving J.P. Morgan as a banking analyst where he helped to create a portfolio recommendation that won $30 million in assets. As a development analyst, Dash will work closely with the development team to provide financial and analytical support for new and existing developments. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas. Accounting coordinator Kim Phillips is responsible for the day-to-day AP/AR functions for the Cypress properties. Kim comes to Cypress from Schneider Electric Buildings where she spent eight years managing the accounts receivable and accounts payable team, as well as expenses and building leases. During her career, Kim upgraded Concur, a travel and expense system, to a fully-automated system, as well as introducing invoice automation, going paperless with AP invoices. Emma Reed joined Cypress as a capital markets analyst and is responsible for development of debt and equity packages, loan abstracts and analysis of capital structure financing. She recently received her BBA in Finance from University of Central Arkansas. Before coming to Cypress, Emma served The Richards Group as a data analyst intern. Daven Ritter comes to Cypress as the vice president of leasing where she will manage the day-to-day leasing of Market Street Place, Lynnwood Place, Merrillville Crossing, Bassett Place and Rock Hill Galleria. Prior to joining Cypress, she served Urban Retail Properties as vice president of leasing and was responsible for the leasing of third-party owned enclosed regional malls, power and strip centers. Daven earned her BS in Business Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a member of ICSC and WIRE Chicago Chapter.
