Chalk III was selected as Georgetown University’s newest Ohio region scholarship chair. Chalk, CEO and Managing Director of Niche Marketing Strategies and Founder of the Xochitl Project, is a Georgetown graduate (C’99) (M’02). He is recognized internationally as an influencer in the areas of personal branding, leadership development, marketing campaigns, organizational expansion and corporate launch strategies. An entrepreneur who bridges many disciplines, he acts as a coach and consultant to organizations and small businesses and educates future entrepreneurs as a frequent guest lecturer. He is a speaker, blogger and columnist with El Sol De Ohio newspaper. The role of Scholarship Chair was created in 2011 to further connect Alumni Admission Program (AAP) members to the Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP). Scholarship Chairs work with the GSP to further awareness of the school’s mission, volunteer with GSP students from their region, and also serve as a resource for AAP members who would like to become involved in the program. There are currently 85 scholarship chairs in place, working with over 300 GSP students in 33 states. "I am honored to have been selected as the scholarship chair for the Ohio region,” Chalk said. “I relish in any opportunity I have to give back to my beloved Alma Mater." The mission of the Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) is to serve Georgetown students who are receiving scholarships made possible by supporters including alumni, parents and friends. These students are often the first in their families to attend college. GSP provides its students with the resources and opportunities that will help them to succeed at Georgetown and beyond. Within GSP, students have access to an accomplished alumni network, career assistance, mentoring programs, campus connections and more. GSP’s innovative program helps Georgetown to be a global leader in enrolling scholarship students and providing them with dedicated support throughout their college experience.
