Amazing Athletes launches in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington!

Award-winning preschool sports enrichment program gets kids moving in the Inland Northwest!

LEWISTON, Idaho - July 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Award-winning children’s sports enrichment program, Amazing Athletes (http://www.amazingathletes.com/), is excited to announce that it has extended its program offerings to preschool and childcare facilities in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington!

Amazing Athletes is a year-round educational sports program that helps children of all abilities achieve milestones in motor development by teaching them the fundamentals of nine different sports. The Amazing Athletes program focuses on building the pillars of early childhood development, working to improve children’s hand-eye coordination, flexibility, cardiovascular health, muscle tone, balance, speed and agility, while also teaching children life skills -- such as teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship and cooperation -- through sports.

During each Amazing Athletes lesson, trained coaches utilize age-appropriate equipment to teach children the rules and mechanics of the nine ball sports. The classes allow each child to progress at his or her own pace in a non-competitive, learning-based environment that encourages patience, emphasizes teamwork and promotes self-confidence at an early age.

Chris and Jennifer Raykovich launched Amazing Athletes of Inland NW in March 2014. Chris, an avid cyclist, and Jennifer, a Registered Dietitian, have a passion for athletics, physical fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. With two young sons, they understood the importance of getting their children active at a young age.

“We were very excited when we learned about the fundamentals of Amazing Athletes, such as the motor skill development, the focus on cardiovascular health and muscle tone all in a structured, non-competitive environment,” said Chris Raykovich. “Amazing Athletes gives us an opportunity to work with children throughout the Inland Northwest, promoting the importance of physical fitness and healthy habits with the goal of countering the disturbing trend of childhood obesity.”

The result of the duo’s entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creating an enriching and active learning environment for preschool-aged youth led to the launch of Amazing Athletes in Northwest Idaho and Eastern Washington. Since its launch, the franchise operation has quickly expanded to eight preschools throughout the Inland Northwest, and the program continues to grow with new preschools signing up for the program every month.

“The concept of third party enrichment programs at childcare facilities is a fairly new concept in the Inland Northwest. The program offers parents a great opportunity to enroll their children in a program that occurs during the day at the child’s childcare or preschool facility. This means parents do not have to take their child somewhere after work or on the weekends,” said Raykovich. “Although this is a fairly new concept in our territory, we have been extremely happy with the quick growth of our program.  Every week the children at our locations are very excited for Amazing Athletes day. We get a lot of feedback from parents about how all their child can talk about is ‘sports day’ at school. It is very rewarding for us to see children having so much fun developing healthy lifestyle habits.”

Amazing Athletes’ award-winning franchise has been ranked in Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the magazine’s Franchise 500, and it was also named by the magazine as one of the top low-cost startups in the nation. The program was also recently named as one of the nation's leading military-friendly franchises for the second year in a row according to GI Jobs Magazine and MilitaryFranchising.com.
