India has an unrivalled youth demographic: With growing concerns and issues, such a platform will give an opportunity to voice an opinion but looking at the practical aspect will the issues raised or opinions made, make a significant change in the government. The much awaited step connecting the government and the public has been taken but the effectiveness of the initiative needs constant monitoring at subsequent stages. Being the responsible citizens of a democratic republic we always have our suggestions and opinions about different issues concerning the development of our country, given the platform now the citizens can put forward their concerns or suggestions and contribute constructively towards betterment of the society at large. Access the website mygov.nic.in and be the part of the governance. Currently there are just 6 major groups on the platform Clean Ganga, Girl Child Education, Clean India, Skilled India, Digital India and Job Creation. With the power to put forward the individual views and opinions, the citizens should make maximum use of the platform. This portal should be accessed to gain knowledge about the topics of national importance and have purposeful discussions to provide constructive feedback for overall development. Three main categories groups, tasks and discussions will be of main focus on the portal. This portal will base as a comprehensive knowledge repository and act like a public audit platform for government. Given the power to access the government doings, public must contribute well to have a responsive government. CPP appreciates the thoughtful endeavour of the government to connect with the masses and applauds the initiative as the most needful step to establish a personal connect with the citizens. Given the platform, government must take measures to ensure awareness of this technological platform among the citizens. There are so many concerns prevailing in the country, the portal must enhance the groups and involve contributors on a large scale. Moreover, Technology must be made friendly for non users; this can be attained by providing free computer classes and tablets in various rural areas of the country, free Wi-Fi access could be an added benefit.
