ITS Academy of Beauty and The Potter's House Help Students Return to School with Free Haircuts

DALLAS - Aug. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Cosmetology students and staff from ITS Academy of Beauty schools in Arlington and Fort Worth will once again assist The Potters House help some 2,000 students return to school in style at a special back to school event from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 16 at the The Potter's House, 6777 W Kiest Blvd. in Dallas.

    The  non-denominational church in southern Dallas sponsors the Strong Body, Strong Mind campaign that supplies needy school children with free backpacks and school supplies. The  ITS students will provide free haircuts and will be supervised by a licensed cosmetology instructor. This is the first year the beauty schools have been involved in the back-to-school project.

    "Proper grooming plays an important role in how we perceive ourselves as well as how we are perceived by others," said Margie Wisniski, vice president of operations of ITS Academy of Beauty and its affiliate cosmetology schools in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and Florida.  "When students feel good about how they look that positive self-image often carries over into their confidence in other areas of their education as well. We are very excited to be a part of this charitable event."

    The award-winning  beauty schools are involved in numerous community events throughout the year as well as money-saving discounts to the general public on the hair and nail services.  Currently all the ITS Academy of Beauty schools in Texas and Oklahoma and its affiliates are offering back to school specials now through Sept. 30.

    The back-to-school specials include : buy one get one free haircuts; $2 off any regularly priced haircut; $4 off acrylic nail services and 50% off color services ((Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only.)

     In addition to ITS Academy in Texas and Oklahoma the cosmetology schools are affiliated with Olympian University of New Mexico, IABC of Arizona and Hair Benders in Florida.
