The New Tamarindo's Margarita Bar & Cantina Opens at Marriott Long Beach

Live Music Events - Blues & Reggae

As part of the ongoing Launch Celebration, Tamarindo's will be hosting Live Blues & Live Reggae Events in August & September. The SoCal Blues Party ft. Oklahoma Ollie will be on the 3rd Saturdays (August 16 + September 20) and the SoCal Reggae Party featuring Urban Dread will be the 4th Fridays (August 22 + September 26).

Highlights are many for bluesman Oklahoma Ollie (OKO) over his 50+ year music career. Former bass player with legends Lowell Fulsom, Phillip Walker and many more worldwide blues titans including Etta James, OKO has a lifetime of experience to draw from as a performer and songwriter. OKO now plays lead guitar and fronts his own Blues Stand Band. Oklahoma Ollie performs many live events including clubs, festivals, fundraisers and private parties. The Urban Dread Reggae Band plays 250 shows a year throughout the West Coast, Hawaii and Mexico. They have opened for legends Steel Pulse, The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Sugar Ray, Wailing Souls, Culture, Eek-A-Mouse, the Untouchables, Enrique Iglesias and more. The bands' sound maintains the roots of reggae music while crossing over with their unique original urban style.
