Follow on Google News | CardioPulmonary Diagnostic, LLC Announces Captain Buscio Program For New Jersey's Public ServantsIt's a sad truth that first responders are at a much greater risk for cardiac and pulmonary disease than people in most other fields and, often, these health issues are left unidentified for far too long. The Captain Buscio program is our process to emphatically answer these medical issues. Inspired by a family who directly experienced a loss; this program was started by Dr. Manmohan A. Patel, Director and Founder of CardioPulmonary Diagnostic, LLC. Nearly half of all firefighters' deaths on-duty are due to a cardiac implication, according to the New England Journal of Medicine; comprehensive care is the key to keeping the Metro area's public servants healthy. “Firefighters, Police Officers, and First Responders are at a higher risk of cardiac events due to their greater exposure to hazardous environments,” The program takes its name from Captain Dominick Buscio, a New Jersey Fire Fighter, who sadly died due to a heart attack. As a result, his wife Donna Buscio and Dr. Manmohan Patel collaborated together to first launch the program in Jersey City, which ultimately expanded to cover the entire state. The Captain Buscio physical and testing is conducted by Board Certified cardiologists and pulmonologists and all results are strictly confidential. After testing, the program provides copies of comprehensive reports which are reviewed with the patients so that they can understand the outcomes of the tests, and know what next to expect regarding their health care. If called for the Physician will call to discuss the outcomes and mail the results to the patient's primary care physician. The Captain Buscio program provides Public Servants with peace of mind regarding their overall health and aids them in making informed medical plans going forward. The response to the program has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Roger M., an EMS responder, recently said, “Just knowing what my heart situation is, was a big relief. It's great to be able to see a Doctor who understands our needs as first responders and clearly cares about us. The fact that it’s confidential says it all. Thank you so much for your fine service!” For more information or to schedule an appointment visit http://cardiopulmonarydiagnostic.com or call (973) 596-1200. End
