Motor Werks and Pinnacle Advertising Win 35th Annual Telly AwardFounded in 1979, the Telly Awards is a premier award honoring outstanding video, film, web and TV commercials. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies in the world. Jake Rostollan, Group Account Director at Pinnacle Advertising, said the goal of the work is to perform for their clients first and foremost. “We create unique work that stands out and cuts through the clutter,” he said. “In this case, it was beginning a whole new campaign with a sharper, stronger brand identity. While our work needs to perform, it’s always nice to be recognized for the quality of our creative.” The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition. Motor Werks’ online branding video was just one submission out of nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents. All submissions are rated on a 10-point scale. Instead of entries competing against each other, they compete against a high standard of excellence. To win a bronze Telly, Motor Werks’ video must have scored an average of 7.0 to 8.9 on the rating scale. Typically, bronze Telly Award winners only represent about 18 to 25 percent of entrants, making it a significant achievement. Chase Hawkins, General Manager of Motor Werks of Barrington, said above all, the video was created to increase customer traffic into the showroom. “If it’s creative, impactful and innovative, it’s doing its job,” he said.
