Follow on Google News | Bayonne Resident Ashley Wilson Installed as 2014-2015 Toastmasters Division F Governor District 83Ashely Wilson, early childhood teacher from Bayonne, has been installed as the 2014-2015 Division F Governor. Wilson, with her team of 5 Area Governors will lead and support the members of 27 Clubs in Toastmasters District 83.
By: Ashley Wilson Ashley Wilson has been an active Toastmaster since September 2010. Ashley has served in several leadership positions with the Speak and Lead Toastmasters Club including Vice President Public Relations (2010-11), President (2011-12), Vice President Membership (2012-14), and is currently serving as Vice President Education. During her term as President of Speak and Lead Toastmasters Club, she led the club to be a Perfect Ten club for the first time, in its recent history. As a past club president, she continues to advise the club’s executive council in maintaining that standard. Ashley also served as 2013-14 Area 66 Governor where the Area achieved Select Distinguished status. “It was very exciting to be elected and installed as Division F Governor. It is an honor to know that so many of District 83’s members have faith in my ability to help the district and members reach the 2014-2015 goals”, said Wilson. “My vison is to see success and achievement begin with members in each club and move through the Areas and up through the Division to District level and beyond. My goal is to create a ground swell of achievement and success that starts with our members and reaches Toastmasters International. Helping our members achieve their communication and leadership goals must provide the basis for everything we do. And with the support of the Area Governors of Division F, I am absolutely sure that this overall goal will be met!” Wilson’s principal role as Division F Governor is to lead and support the members in 27 Clubs through the supervision and support of 5 Area Governors. The Division F team is committed to the success of its members and clubs. The Area Governors appointed to District 83, Division F are: Area 61 Edward Goldblatt ACS, ALB Area 62 Sharjeel Anwar CC Area 63 Noel Crawford ACG, CL Area 64 Anne Jenkins ACB, ALB Area 65 Marie Morrison, ACB, CL “Ashley Wilson is a creative and supportive leader that possesses the forethought to think about the needs of the individual members and how those needs can be met, as well as how meeting those particular needs can help the organization flourish”, Javier Antela, 2013-2014 Assistant Area 66 Governor, and member of Speak and Lead Toastmasters. As Division F Governor, Wilson also serves on the District 83 council. The district council is the governing body of the District, subject to the general supervision of the Board of Directors. It conducts all the business of the District. "I feel that Ashley will be an excellent Division Governor," says Margarita Estrada, 2014-2015 District 83 Public Relations Officer (PRO). "She is articulate, organized, efficient, and a mentor to all who seek her advice. Currently, she is attending Western Governors University as an Education major. In addition to her leadership positions with Toastmasters, Ashley is a proud member of the Bloomfield Youth Band of Bloomfield, NJ and Order of the Eastern Star.
