The Yakima ForkLift also Top Pick award winner is described by Smith as, “A rack that is secure and stable in the wind. It will attach to any kind of crossbar and is easy to assemble. This rack does have a forty pound weight capacity and works well on vehicles with roof heights that are lower.”

The Best Buy award goes to the RockyMounts PitchFork. Smith summarizes,”The PitchFork is a stable, secure and versitle rack. It’s inexpensive and simple but made from quality materials with a solid construction. Though it requires front tire removal to mount, it has a very reliable fork mount design.”
