Follow on Google News | Degafloor demonstrates their disappearing act!By: Degafloor Ltd The most recent inspection identified one small side corridor area that had become badly scratched from regular movement of stacked chairs and the finish in this area was letting down the rest of the floor which was in excellent condition. Traditionally, this level of damage would require an overcoat of the area with a 1-2mm Degafloor system to restore the floor to new. However, to help the client overcome this problem, Degafloor offered to trial a revolutionary new refurbishment process that has been under development for the last 12 months. This highly cost effective process gradually polishes out damage to leave a cleaner, brighter and virtually scratch free finish, which also benefits from an enhanced gloss level. The 3 stage process was completed in just one hour and did not use any chemicals or require any re-application of resin. Speaking on behalf of The Cresset, Darren Buckman commented that ‘the results of the trial exceeded our expectations and we now plan to use the process more extensively to help extend the life of our floor’. Not only does the process allow for Degafloor resin floors to be refurbished, it can also be used as a gloss enhancing process and as regular chemical free cleaning process for all smooth Degafloor finishes. Whilst the results of refurbishment will be determined by the extent and depth of damage, it is entirely possible to make most scratches totally disappear.’ End
