RALEIGH, N.C. - Aug. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The Infusion Group™ today announces its executive speaker panelist lineup for the curator’s, first network of industry, health care, government and higher education Innovate Work Summit to be held on September 12 in Raleigh at the Institute of Emerging Issues. Themed "Freedom to Lead, Shaping the Emerging Workplace," the Summit will gather executives, diversity officers, business and HR leaders, and professionals to join the panel conversation about the future of inclusion and how disruption, global trends, innovation, and growth are changing the landscape of one dimensional diversity practices.  Leading panelists will explore ways to navigate the complexity and different ways of leveraging and working for mission-critical results and profitable business outcomes that help to foster innovation, and bring the community together.

"The North Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is excited to lead and open the dialogue with key thought leaders on the future of inclusion, at the 2014 Innovate Work Summit. It is imperative to promote inclusion in organizational change and practices that value new cultural competence as well as respecting the people in the work, business and community environment we live in," said Leonor Clavijo, Executive Director of the Chamber. "At the Hispanic Chamber, diversity is more than a saying—its woven into the essence of our business relationships -—from the first click on nchispanicchamber.org to our chamber associate’s greeting, serving our membership community, our multi-faceted member base and workforce, is our strength."

Participants will hear from recognized Diversity Thought Leaders such as:

· Leonor Clavijo, North Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director

· Dr. Taffye Benson Clayton, University of Chapel Hill, Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer

· Sidney Evering II, Parker Poe, Special Counsel, Diversity Director

· Kim Drumgo, AICPA, Diversity Director and Vice-Chair National Committee on Diversity for Accounting

· David LaBoy, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Diversity Director

Dr. Taffye Benson Clayton was awarded the 2014 Diversity Leader Award by the Triangle Business Journal.  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP were recently awarded the 2014 Employer Diversity Leader Award by the Triangle Business Journal.

"Parker Poe is pleased to participate with diversity thought leaders to explore the future of inclusion and to advance the critical business imperative of inclusion during a time of changing demographics and globalization,” said Sidney Evering II. “At Parker Poe, diversity is an integral part of our law firm’s culture as well as our strategic plan.  We are fortunate to have law firm leaders who understand the importance of diversity and inclusion as it relates to providing quality service to our clients and to the communities in which we live.”

“Today’s universities should approach diversity and inclusion as a mission-driven imperative.  As the first public research university in the nation, UNC-Chapel Hill strives daily to better understand the complexities and nuances of a contemporary, diverse and inclusive academic community.  We promote a diverse presence on our campus, foster a climate that promotes equity and inclusion, and nurture a culture of academic and institutional strength. What we aim to create is an enlightened and culturally competent community that has ability to leverage the diversity of our campus towards the accomplishment of our mission and strategic goals,” states Dr. Clayton.

Inclusion leaders will take a deep dive into the discussion exploring how organizations and industry are reimaging inclusion, becoming more dimensionally cultural, learning from the journey and navigating unprecedented complexities in the global world of work.
