According to Kiki, the decision to have Crucifix on the cover of this months issue was an easy one to make. Crucifix was brought to Kiki's attention by one of ION's broadcast affiliates and promotional partners, Bruce Lenzi of Twisters Music. When reviewing Crucifix's music, Kiki explains that she sat up straight and felt an instant connection to this artist's lyrics, as well as his soulful sound. After reading his compelling back story, Kiki knew their was no question Crucifix would grace the September cover of ION Indie Magazine. As ION was a dream of Kiki's during hardship, she believed it was destiny that The Dreamer Crucifix would tell his riveting story to ION readers. The September issue is the fourth issue of this new-launch publication. After assembling a staff of journalists and industry professionals, she formulated promotional partnerships with 15 broadcasters in an effort to get independent music read about and heard. Each month, the music that is streamed in ION Indie Magazine is forwarded to the broadcasters for airplay consideration.
