By: WNC Health Insurance “One of the things about our relationship with The Asheville Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® Store is that they have assisted us to assist the community, and reach out to those folks who are uninsured in order to get them access to really good, affordable health care,” said Tim Rhodes, who spoke on behalf of Buncombe County Health and Human Services. An agent from The Asheville Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® Store is in the Buncombe County Health and Human Services building Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The agent is available to answer questions and help Buncombe County residents select a plan that works for individuals or families. Agents are also available at the The Asheville Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® Store on Hendersonville Road in Asheville to answer questions and walk North Carolina residents through the health insurance enrollment process. The Asheville Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina® Store is located at 1854 Hendersonville Road, Suite C in Asheville, North Carolina. Store hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Residents who have experienced certain qualifying life events may currently enroll in an Affordable Care Act (ACA) plan through a Special Enrollment Period. The annual enrollment period for ACA plans will begin on November 15, 2014, for health insurance coverage plans that begin in 2015.
