CARLISLE, Pa. - Sept. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- One of the best parts of the Carlisle Sports and Outdoor Show is that it doesn’t just cater to one enthusiast base.  This isn’t a hunting show, a fishing show or a trapping show; it’s a full-fledged sports and outdoor-themed weekend that has something for everyone.  That mantra holds true with this year’s event giveaways too, one prize is perfect for those who enjoy fishing and time on the water, another is a prize that anyone looking to remove or reduce the size of a tree can enjoy and the final prize is one best suited for those who are in a fowl mood.  Each prize will be awarded on Sunday, the final day of the show, and will be awarded to their respective winners on the Red 102.3 stage.

Up for grabs at this year’s show, which runs September 5-7 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, are a chain saw, a fishing excursion and some duck/goose calls.  Each prize fits perfectly with the sports and outdoor theme of the weekend and comes via supporters of the event itself.  The chain saw is courtesy of Husqvara and Nolt’s Power Equipment, the fishing excursion is made possible by Breakline Charters and Captain Jamie Hughes, while the calls are via Redemption Calls.

At 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, those onsite will gather around the stage for the drawing of the names.  With registration taking place onsite at Guest Services and online via www.CarlisleSportsOutdoor.com, one does not need to be present to win, though it does make for a great photo opportunity when they are.  Once announced, the winner of the chain saw will go home with a Husqvarna 450, which according to the company’s web page is a “new powerful all-round saw for people who value professional qualities in a saw.  The X-Torq engine means lower fuel consumption and reduced emission levels.  Auto return stop switch and visible fuel level makes the saw easier to handle. Equipped with Smart Start and fuel pump to every time ensure easy starts.”

Fishing wise, the winner of that prize will take home a catfishing trip for two with Breakline Charters and Captain Jaime Hughes on the Susquehanna River.  Hughes is known as the Catfish Queen and was a special guest of the inaugural Carlisle Sports and Outdoor Show in 2013.  Fishing nearly her entire life, Hughes is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain and permitted Pennsylvania fishing guide.  The time spent on the water with her combined with her years of hands-on experience will be priceless.  By fishing with Hughes, the winner will have a great opportunity to catch a Flat Head Catfish in Pennsylvania waters, something that most people have never done.

Finally, the calls from Redemption Calls will help enthusiasts who enjoy all things waterfowl.  The calls are custom tuned by hand by world class duck and goose callers to the customer's style of calling and best of all, the experts from Redemption will be onsite during event weekend too.

A link to register for the prizes are available online now via the events web page which is referenced above.  All registrants must be at least 18 years of age or older and additional restrictions may apply.  Also, while online to register, enthusiasts are encouraged to review the additional activities slated for the 2014 event.  There is something for everyone, no matter their age or experience level.
