Business & political powerhouse to give keynote address at Reagan Day Dinner The Downers Grove Township Republican Organization (DGTRO) will be presenting nationally renowned author, businesswoman and political figure Carly Fiorina as the keynote speaker at its second annual Reagan Day Dinner on Wednesday, October 15. Named by Fortune as one of the most powerful women in business, Fiorina is perhaps best known for transforming Hewlett-Packard during her six years as CEO, doubling the corporation’ Taking on tough challenges has been a hallmark of Carly’s life. “I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge, “ says Fiorina. “Probably because I’m a great believer in human potential. Each of us has this tremendous reserve of strength and know-how and all it takes is learning how to unlock it.” In 2010 she ran for the U.S. Senate when she took on one of Washington’s most entrenched liberals, Barbara Boxer, from the deep blue state of California.
