Kenedi Treasure up for WILDE Women's 30 and Under Entrepreneur Award

ATLANTA - Sept. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- The teen sisters behind the Kenedi Treasure brand are up for this year’s WILDE 30 and Under Entrepreneur of the Year Award. WILDE (Women In Leadership Development & Empowerment, LLC) was established by Linda Arrey to recognize women in the Atlanta area for their accomplishments in different spheres of society.
This year, Kenedi and Treasure Bishop are among four nominees who may take the title in their category on October 11, 2014. The sisters have built a following in Atlanta, their native Detroit, New York and Los Angeles for their Kenedi Treasure lip gloss and nail polishes, their PrayMates gospel inspired t-shirt label and their signature celebrity teen parties which have featured Jacob Latimore, Mindless Behavior and many more. They also oversee non-profit K.I.T.E (Konnecting the Incarcerated Through Excellence), a venture founded with their dad for children with at least one incarcerated parent. And now, they are ready to launch a young women’s program aptly known as You Go Girl while in hiatus from taping their reality show.
“I didn’t even realize we were nominated until our dad and publicist contacted us,” Kenedi said. “It’s so humbling to be considered with women who are well known, making a difference and just sticking to their own thing. I’m real excited about having the opportunity to sit down at the meet and greet to network with the other nominees. Some of them I follow on their social media pages and so to be listed as someone up for an award along with them really just made me go like ‘Wow, people appreciate and acknowledge us for all the hard work we’ve been doing’.”
“It’s truly an honor to be on the list of nominees,” added Treasure. “The thing is, we don’t even have time to stop and celebrate the achievement because we are in the middle of a huge campaign for our PrayMates t-shirt line. On top of that, the week after the awards, we are heading out to Detroit with our team to launch our You Go Girl program and event with a few celebrities in tow. We may decide to do a celebration then because we’ll have our Atlanta and Detroit team in the same spot. But I am excited to get to be a part of WILDE as a participant even if I weren’t a nominee because Linda, the organizer is a young visionary just like we are and we are extremely excited to be a part of an organization that is based on women uplifting other women.”
