Trumpf TruLaser Cell 7040 split cabin 5 axis laser cutting machine

This machine will complement GFL’s existing 5 axis capacity by allowing it to take on higher volume production work: cutting pressings, spinnings and extrusions. The split cabin laser is one of the fastest laser cutting machines of its kind. It has the unique ability to cut in one cabin whilst the workpiece is being set up in another cabin. This means shorter production times and significant cost savings for customers.

Trumpf 3030 Flatbed Laser

Following an impressive number of large contract wins, GFL has also increased its flatbed laser cutting capacity with the purchase of an additional Trumpf 3030 laser. This laser can cut material up to 25mm thick and has two cutting tables for fast turnaround of cut parts.

As part of the capital investment GFL has also secured new premises which it will move into later this year. The new premises give GFL almost three times as much space to cater for further expansion over the coming years. Located in the heart of the West Midlands, the new premises are conveniently situated to the existing factory, meaning their customer base will not see any disruption in service.
