SAN DIEGO - Sept. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- A-1 Self Storage, the premier provider of self storage in San Diego, CA, announced today their monetary donation to Youth and Leaders Living Actively (YALLA) San Diego. With college as the goal, YALLA San Diego is the only program in California that uses soccer as a hook to motivate refugee and immigrant youth to rebuild their lives through comprehensive academic, leadership, and therapy programs. Soccer provides an environment for each child participant, regardless of background or ethnicity, to come together and share space both on the pitch as teammates, and through schooling as classmates, and breaks down barriers among youths to facilitate a smooth transition to a communal and participatory learning environment. YALLA San Diego currently serves over 250 refugee and immigrant participants, and their capacity to serve is growing each year.
