The two-day installation and media event is set for September 26-27 from 8 AM – 3 PM. “GRID Alternatives’ Elected officials from the state assembly, congress, and Hemet’s own city council are expected to be in attendance to learn more about job creation through clean energy. This is Horizon Solar Power’s first volunteer installation with GRID Alternatives is a nonprofit organization that brings together community partners, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and job trainees to implement solar power and energy efficiency for low-income families, providing energy cost savings, valuable hands-on experience, and a source of clean, local energy that benefits us all.
