The 38th annual Cow Harbor Day Parade kicks off Sunday, September 21st in the village of Northport on Long Island. Cow Harbor Day is the traditional annual festival celebrating the history of the Village of Northport on Long Island in NY.  The name derived from “The Great Cow Harbor.” The village adopted this name years ago as a result of the cows which use to graze on the fields along the Harbor which have been since turned into two parks.

Thousands of visitors from neighboring towns will congregate up and down Main Street to take part in the festivities. The parade, which begins at 12 noon, features live music from local bands, sport teams, the areas best high school marching bands, floats, antique cars, the infamous Northport Trolley and boat races.
