MWDTSA kicks off KONGs for K­9’s supply drive to support deployed military dog teams

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Sept. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- From Oct. 1 to 31 the Military Working Dog Team Support Association (MWDTSA), a non-profit organization supporting U.S. military dog teams, will launch the 2014 KONGs for K­9's supply drive with small business pet store partners located across the nation. To get involved in the program, customers can purchase and donate KONG Biscuit Balls, KONG Goodie Bones and KONG Classics. The KONGs will later be matched by a free Kong Classic toy or KONG Extreme from the KONG Company. At the participating stores, MWDTSA will provide posters and notes that can be signed by the donors and attached to their donated KONG toy. The donated toys are sent in care packages to deployed dog teams and the matched toys are used during visits to kennels at stateside military bases. The program allows MWDTSA to donate top quality toys while giving mom and pop stores the opportunity to connect with their community, support deployed dog teams and increase their sales.
