IBADAN, Nigeria - Sept. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- The oldest son of Dr Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, popularly known as #DRKOO a US trained Journalist/Pharmacist/Gun Violence/Gay Rights and Crime Victims Advocate, Certified PR Specialist and also the News Director of #HNNAfrica  has launched a fundraiser asking her global fans and followers to help with her medical bills after she was brutally assaulted by a government official, her own sister and other family members at 5.15pm on Wednesday September 17th 2014 in Ibadan, Nigeria.

She needs to be flown to Europe to get specialized care due to internal head injuries and the poor level of health care in Nigeria. She has been told that the cost of her medical bills to correct and monitor her injuries will be around $350,000. Kemi is not eligible for Social Security Disability benefits as she lives outside the United States as she has just been told. She also has no health insurance which is a non existent area of insurance in Nigeria and finally there is no Police report due to the lack of domestic violence laws and intervention in Nigeria. She is asking her global fans from North America to Nigeria to help her crowdfunding effort.

The Award Winning Journalist/Pharmacist/Global Gun Victims and Community Activist and PR Specialist was accused by her sister Funke Olunloyo, a state government official of trying to bring the ruling Oyo APC government down. APC is Nigeria's opposition party and her sister is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Oyo state on Education.

This case has generated a lot of global attention with respect to a Political official beating up a Journalist unconscious in Nigeria where there are no domestic violence laws. Her own mother, former Oyo state First Lady Mrs Funlayo Olunloyo was also seen kicking Kemi in the head along with her grandson and daughter Funke. Mrs Funlayo Olunloyo was heard cheering them on and was saying ‘Good, she’s dead, let her die’, as Kemi lay motionless with internal head injuries and several bodily injuries.

The award winning Broadcast Journalist suffered several bodily injuries, head injuries, knee bruises, a huge cut on her toe, broken facial bones, black eyes and also lost significant hearing loss. She is slowly recovering from the attack and is suffering from slurred speech as well as experiencing twitches and seizures.

The award winning Broadcaster cannot record any radio newscasts at this time until further notice due to a damaged eardrum resulting from being kicked in the head. Her work has been #1 on Reverbnation's portal for spoken word in Canada where she lived 2007-2012 (Reverbnation.com/HNNAfrica)

As an outstanding outspoken award winning investigative Journalist, a newsbeat that is not always friendly in Nigeria, some are even glorifying her assault on social media saying she deserved it. Nobody deserves brutal family assault or any assaut at all. The political climate in Nigeria is very tense as the 2015 election approaches. Kemi has gone after government officials in getting the community services, supporting Nigerian Gays and Lesbians and risking jail for the anti-gay law, something Nigerians passionately hate her for,  criticized pastors, clerics, sex abusers, tackled incest and vigilante justice in some of her write ups and newscasts and videos on www.HNNAfrica.com.

NIGERIA HAS NO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE LAWS, SO POLICE IS NEVER INVOLVED.

Kemi who has lived in Nigeria 3 out of the last 40 years called police 10 times in a three day span and they refused to intervene. There are NO RESTRAINING COURT ORDERS in this country, no arrests! She is still in the same location and needs to leave for safety reason. Two days prior to this event, on Monday September 15th 2014, her sister's housemaid of  9 years hacked her with a pick axe during a disciplinary incident leaving four of her left fingers bruised. A video of that altercation was posted on her Facebook personal page where many criticized  that such a servant should be dismissed, something Funke Olunloyo will not do! Kemi's mother was also seen on the video supporting such an act while other relatives in the video disagreed scolding the maid who walked away. Police in Nigeria only try to end disputes in family units using elderly in-laws and other family members. The only time they also get involved is to pick up a DEAD body and make a arrest when it's TOO LATE!

Dr. Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo thanks her loyal fans, colleagues and partners for all the kind wishes and wants everyone to help get #FamilyDomesticViolence laws in motion. She wants people to use the hashtag #RIP917 denoting the day of her nightmare and generate awareness that your own mother should not cheer on asking if you were dead yet?

The entire event was videotaped on a cellphone by a neighbour who stated he was visibly shaken. The video has remained on private status on YouTube as Kemi's adult children in the United States requested.

Her oldest child Enitan, a high functioning Autistic man who she raised alone released a statement from his hometown Philadelphia, USA: "My mom fights for children to walk to school safely on roads, tweets their Governor to supply water to their neighborhoods and gets electricity back into the neighborhood by advocating for several people and it's my own family members that has to try killing her for speaking out? That video dragged we her children down and we indeed want no relationship with our Nigerian family at this time."

Help Kemi get Domestic Violence Laws enacted in Nigeria. She blogged her version of events below on her world news blog:
