Follow on Google News | ![]() Blue Martini hasn’t lost its mojoTown Square opened right around my 21st birthday, during my days as a penny-pinching undergrad at UNLV. With a bevy of bars offering supremely cheap happy hours in one central location, it quickly became a regular booze-crawl destination for my crew.
By: Blue Martini Lounge Seven years later, Blue Martini (and that ladies’ night promo) remains a popular option—whether you’re pre-gaming for a club up the Boulevard, sipping something before dinner at Bonefish Grill or ending a movie outing with a nightcap. That’s likely due in part to the venue’s varied entertainment lineup; since its opening, the bar has featured a diverse array of programming, from Latin nights to gay-themed events to a neo-soul party. I stopped by the latter this past Sunday, the venue alive with the same energy it had so long ago. Not one of its barstools sat unoccupied; a talented vocalist and live band filled the air with grooving, evocative tunes; and a healthy crowd had taken over the makeshift dance space in the back. Did I mention it was only 9:30 p.m.? While longstanding events like the soul and ladies’ nights endure, the bar also introduces new parties from time to time—including this weekend, when it debuts the new electronic dance-focused EDM Saturdays. Clearly, Blue Martini hasn’t lost its mojo. Blue Martini Town Square, 702-949-2583.
