“Off the Wall” Auction in Bedminster Showcases Local, Affordable Art

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Oct. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The Center for Contemporary Art will host its “Off the Wall” Art Auction on Friday, October 24.  This popular annual event features works of art donated by The Center’s extensive network of accomplished and emerging artists, as well as art instructors and adult students who are enrolled in classes at The Center.

A wide variety of art is submitted for the auction each year, ranging from paintings, drawings, photography and mixed media works to ceramic art pieces. Bidding starts at just $25, making it possible for art lovers and collectors at many levels of bidding to take home a piece of local, original art.

Tickets for “Off the Wall” are on sale now and start at $25 in advance ($35 at the door). The price of admission includes a lively evening of competitive bidding; wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres; live music; a “mystery prize game” featuring gift items donated by many local businesses; and more. The event will be held from 7-10 p.m. at The Center’s location at 2020 Burnt Mills Road in Bedminster.

A special Preview Party, which includes an “inside scoop” curator’s tour and a First Dibs option to “Buy It Now!”, will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tickets for the Preview Party are $150 in advance ($175 at the door) and include admission to the full event. Individual Sponsor tickets are also available for $250. Event tickets may be purchased in person at The Center or online at www.ccabedminster.org.

Funds raised at this event will provide much-needed support for all aspects of The Center’s operations and educational programs including art exhibitions, youth art programs, and outreach for children with special needs, adults with disabilities, and people affected by cancer.
