NOIDA, India - Oct. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- During his recent visit to Delhi, a UK lawyer Chris Parsons took time out of his busy schedule to visit Shaheed Rajpal DAV Public School to meet children of poor widows who are being educated by the Loomba Foundation. He was accompanied by the Foundation's Country Head Mr. Pratap Singh and the Operational Manager, Atul Palta.

Chris was delighted to visit the school and meet 7 beneficiaries of the Loomba Foundation. He also met the Principal of the school and some of the teachers.

Chris discussed various matters with the children including his early childhood and the humble background that he came from. He also discussed his schooling, the college he attended and how he became a lawyer and Head of the India Practice for his firm, Herbert Smith Freehills, through hard work and determination. It was an inspirational story. He encouraged the children to aim high and to work hard to reach their goals. There was also an informal chat where the students discussed their schooling and asked Chris a number of questions.

Chris Parsons is a senior lawyer working with Herbert Smith Freehills in London, who has completed 30 successful years of his service with the company. To celebrate this landmark in his life, he has decided to raise money for widows and their children in India by walking 30 marathons over 30 days from Mumbai to Bangalore covering a distance of 1265 kms. His “Walk for Widows” will start from the Gateway of India on 10th January 2015.

Please sponsor Chris's "Walk for Widows". All monies will be used to empower poor widows by giving them training for two to three months and a sewing machine on the completion of the training. They can then earn money, educate their children, support their family members and lead a life of dignity.

Please send your donations by cheque made payable to the Loomba Foundation to the following address:
