Local Artist, Dari, Presents Energy and Motion at Open Art Code Paris 2014

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Oct. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Open Art Code is composed of a group of celebrated artists who have very different technical styles and their artistic formation is varied. They have united their talents to exhibit together in Paris at the Grand Palais located at the Champs-Élysées form November 25-30, 2014.

Dari will represent the United States at Open Art Code 2014, and show her latest painting, Energy and Motion, depicting a horse race. When describing the piece, Dari explains, “My inspiration for this painting is the strong and powerful, yet gentle nature of the horse.”

Dari was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1957 and relocated to Toronto, Canada in March 2008 after being issued a work permit based on special artistic talent. Dari subsequently received the prestigious 0-1 visa to work in the USA and moved to Florida in 2009. She currently resides in Coral Springs, FL.

Dari's main inspirations have been Man Ray, her 'friend in spirit', with his diverse ideas of art and his non-acceptance of narrow parameters, the impressionists Pissaro, Monet, Van Gogh and Signac as well as the expressionists Max Pechstein and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. The natural beauty of her surroundings, friends and family and their colorful character have also played a large part in inspiring her sculptures and paintings.

Dari is a painter and sculptor. Her art works are found in private and corporate collections both locally and internationally (United States, Germany, Belgium, Britain, France, Israel, Canada and Poland). Her commissions include works for various Members of Parliament in Africa. Dari's painting of the Signal Hill shrine is housed in the Bo Kaap Museum, Cape Town, and her collection of sculpture “Woman Evolve” is displayed permanently at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
