Atlantic Pacific Marine completes $2m Crystal Symphony refit 3 days ahead of schedule

CARDIFF, Wales - Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlantic Pacific Marine has completed the $2m refit of the Crystal Symphony three days ahead of schedule. A team of 130 men worked around the clock while she was dry-docked in Hamburg during September.

APM’s work scope included installing new ducting and GF pipework, engine room mechanical repairs and renewing the ship’s loading deck. In total, the project took just sixteen days.

“We were delighted to complete three days early” says APM Director, Philip Rodrigues. “It meant that Crystal Cruises had those three days to sail-test her, rather than just coming straight out of dry dock into service.”

Crystal Symphony’s refit is just one of Atlantic Pacific Marine’s success stories this year. The company has also completed upgrades, refits and repairs for the fleets of Princess Cruises, Carnival UK and Carnival Australia. Turnover has almost doubled in the last year alone, and MD Leroy Bishop has no doubt that it’s due to the company’s ethics of honesty, innovation and quality.

“Our clients know that we can be relied on to minimise costly out of service days, like we did for Crystal Cruises” he says. “APM are currently upgrading the MBR system on Ruby Princess and we hope to complete this project ahead of schedule as well.”
