Actyl Group to Offer Solutions Related to Canada's New Express Entry ProgramFirm gives employers access to variety of benefits new system offers, including a more efficient way to recruit skilled international workers
By: Actyl Group Inc. The system, which will begin in January, includes a new electronic mechanism to streamline the process of managing immigrant applications for permanent residence. It has been designed to help Canada meet current and future needs in its labour market and allow for long-term economic growth nationwide. On October 15-16, Actyl Group president and CEO Dr. Linda West is attending SkilledMigration, one of the most popular human resources conferences in Canada, to share more information on how the firm can assist clients with Express Entry. "This new system will help employers throughout the country find, recruit and hire skilled foreign workers in a more efficient and effective way," said West. "We are looking forward to the SkilledMigration conference to provide additional information and insights on how this system will work, and how Actyl can help through every step of the process. This is a positive new development in the realm of international worker recruitment." Express Entry involves two main steps, with the first being an online profile that potential candidates complete, detailing their experience, skills, education, training, language abilities and other relevant information. Those who qualify will be placed into a worker pool, with only the highest-ranking candidates and those who have received eligible arranged employment offers invited to apply for permanent residence. In some cases, employers may need to receive a Labour Market Impact Assessment as part of this process. In the second step, CIC will invite candidates to apply for permanent residence, processing these select applications in six months or less. Those selected will have 60 days to submit an application through one of the economic immigration programs—the Federal Skilled Worker program, the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Trades Program—or a Provincial Nominee Program. The SkilledMigration conference, held in Regina, focuses on the attraction, recruitment and retention of top-level talent within businesses and organizations across a wide range of industries. At the event, organizations with multicultural workforces gain key insights on how they can foster an environment that promotes diversity and cohesiveness. At the conference, Minister of Immigration and Citizenship Chris Alexander said that Express Entry represents a more effective and efficient way to help meet the diverse needs of today's labour market. Actyl Group has decades of experience in international workforce solutions, helping businesses and organizations across Canada find the skilled professionals they need for sustainable growth.
