Cape Coral's Pohlman and Cautero to address Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association Nov 6

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Oct. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The City of Cape Coral's Steve Pohlman and Vince Cautero will update the Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association on the city-owned properties formerly known as the "Thieman properties" at its annual meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on November 6, 2014. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Christa McAuliffe Elementary Charter School located at 2817 SW 3^rd Lane, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. for sign-in and neighborhood networking.

NWNA's annual election of officers will top the agenda, followed by speakers Steve Pohlman, Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Cape Coral (formerly the Interim City Manager when the Thieman properties were acquired April 20, 2010) and Vince Cautero, Director of Community Development to discuss the city's vision for these properties. 97 percent of the mostly undeveloped 491 parcels encompass nearly 523 acres of land in Northwest Cape Coral, making them vitally important to future growth and quality of life. The parcels include the "Seven Islands," (on Old Burnt Store Road), "Crystal Lake" (near Caloosa Parkway), two "Dry Lakes" parcels (between Burnt Store Road and Old Burnt Store Road, North of Kismet Parkway), and others.

NWNA was formed by area residents in 2002 to provide an open forum for discussion of issues of general importance to members.
