By: Encasement Ltd The three projects at Aneurin Bevan Court, Kinnock Court and Roderick Hill Court provide more than 70 studios, flats and apartments. Following a refurbishment programme, including the installation of exterior air conditioning condensers, Encasement was commissioned to supply and install casings to conceal the external services pipework. As each project was so different and the routing of pipework varied at each location, Encasement’s engineering team conducted a site survey, including detailed measurements to ensure that the bespoke Arma metal casing would not only conceal the pipes perfectly, but also be simple and quick to install. The Arma casings are manufactured from 3mm thick aluminium, which are factory formed into the required profiles ranging from 150mm wide to more than 1,200mm depending on each individual location. The casings were also finished in a durable brown or black PPC coating to contrast with the building or blend in with the brickwork and window frame colour. Martin Taylor, Encasement’s MD, explained: “Protecting pipework with Arma casings not only acts as a deterrent to vandalism and theft, but also provides a more aesthetic finish by covering unsightly pipes, valves and associated building services. Arma provides a highly versatile solution for protecting external pipes, cabling and services, which is perfectly demonstrated on these three different, Melin Homes projects.” End
