Webinar on 're-use of software in compliance with ISO 26262 standard' by Embitel Group

Oct. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- The Embitel Group (consisting of Embitel Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. located in Bangalore/India and embitel GmbH located in Stuttgart/Germany) successfully conducted a webinar on re-use of software in compliance with ISO 26262 standard, on 9^th October 2014.

This webinar was third in the series of webinars conducted by Embitel on Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) or ISO 26262 standard.

The webinar was attended by 40 qualified prospects representing OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers & Tool vendors from UK, Germany & other parts of Europe.

The ISO 26262 standard addresses the needs for an automotive-specific international Functional Safety Standard for electrical and electronic (E/E) systems.

The number & complexity of E/E systems had increased manifold & hence it is critical to comply with the ISO 26262 standard to build fail-proof systems & ensure end-user safety.

In order to achieve & maintain high standards of functional safety it is absolutely critical to identify the opportunities of re-using existing robust software modules/packages or COTS products
