Old School Games Launches Arcade Cabinet Rentals in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada!

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - Oct. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Local entrepreneur Richard Black has been restoring and refurbishing classic arcade game cabinets for the past year. A few were placed at Whispering Winds campground in Shubenacadie for the summer where they tested well with the campers there… both children and adults alike!

Now he’s prepared to officially launch the business at the upcoming Hal-Con: Sci-fi / Fantasy / Comic Book Convention, November 7-9 at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Look for him on the third floor in the arcade. Just let the familiar beeping and blooping sounds be your guide.

“There’s nothing like seeing an arcade cabinet you used to play as a kid. After dropping in your quarter and pressing start – BAM! – It’s like your fourteen again. These games are timeless. Not only do folks my age (mid-30’s) enjoy them, but they love to share them with their children - who as it turns out - also love them. Unlike games of today, these cabinets give you your game fix in a few minutes. There’s no two hour investment just to learn how the controls work like some of today’s high-end console games.” says Richard Black, owner of Old School Games.

Old School Games will have a total of 8 or 9 classic arcade cabinets at Hal-Con. They have a variety of classic arcade cabinets and a few modern mulitcade machines to showcase. All cabinets will be up for rental immediately following Hal-Con. Arcade cabinets can be placed in bars, pubs, board rooms, employee lounges, reception areas, living rooms and man-caves.
