TUALATIN, OR…A Fabricoil™ architectural coiled wire fabric system “got the part” again when iPic Entertainment recently incorporated it into its newest luxury cinema location that opened this month on Wilshire Boulevard in the Westwood section of Los Angeles.

The stylish coiled wire fabric can be viewed upon entering the new Westwood location for iPic Theaters – as well as other iPic locations. The dramatic effect begins inside the lobby where guests are treated to the chic appearance of the Fabricoil system. The suspended coiled wire fabric consists of 19 gauge galvanized steel with 3/16” thickness. The fabric features three different finishes – antique copper, satin bronze, and silver-toned – and is affixed to the ceiling using Cascade Architectural’s Sleeve engineered attachment system in a curved orientation.

Recognized for its impeccable attention to the guest experience and architecturally striking décor, iPic Theaters is the nation’s fastest growing brand of affordable luxury movie-going, providing visionary night-out escapes attracting a prestigious roster of celebrity clientele and moviegoers. The luxurious movie-going experience includes chef-driven cuisine served directly to customers inside the theater. The iPic cinemas more closely resemble the feeling of stepping into a stylish hotel or lounge versus being inside a traditional movie theater.

“Cascade Architectural is very excited that our Fabricoil system is now ‘on stage’ in the movie capital of the world,” says Ronald Schoenheit, Founder and CEO of Cascade Coil Drapery, Inc. “We have enjoyed a great relationship with iPic Entertainment, a company that appreciates how our Fabricoil systems allow designers to flex their creativity and create something very special.”

The Fabricoil architectural coiled wire fabric system also graces iPic Theaters in Boca Raton, FL and in Scottsdale Quarter, a trendy section of Scottsdale, AZ.

Fabricoil systems add just the right amount of luster and definition to enhance intimacy in a large, luxurious space.  Cascade’s dramatic, semi-transparent panels descend from 28-foot-high cathedral ceilings and are hung at varying heights. Instead of interior walls, it is Cascade Architectural’s antique copper, satin bronze, and silver-toned wire fabric that provides a distinct sense of space while simultaneously filtering air, light and sound.

Fabricoil systems consist of architectural coiled wire fabric – interlocking strands of coiled wire formed into a flexible material – and an engineered attachment.

Fabricoil systems look and perform like woven metal mesh, but have a far lower installed cost. Fabricoil coiled wire fabric is manufactured in a wide variety of metals, gauges, scales, finishes and colors. Metals include but are not limited to aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, copper and titanium. Fabricoil engineered attachment systems are primarily manufactured from stainless steel, steel and aluminum.

Cascade Architectural provides a wide array of Fabricoil system finish options:

- low-VOC metallic lacquer finishes to meet specific application and design requirements;
- designer metallic powder finishes;
- durable acrylic lacquer coatings available in a wide range of custom colors that can be matched to color chips; and
- anodized finishes for aluminum products.
