L-Smooth to Open for the Hip Hop Legendary Slick Rick, the Ruler

OKLAHOMA CITY - Nov. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Artists have ways of reaching our youth through music, but L-Smooth chooses to take actions from a different standpoint in support of National Epilepsy Awareness Month.  L-Smooth is a special guest performer at Venue 42 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for, “The Great Adventures of Slick Rick” concert to be held November 7, 2014 headlined by the Grammy Nominated Artist, Slick Rick, the Ruler.  This event presented by Venue 42 will bring back Slick Rick’s classics, such as, “Children’s Story” the second single that made top 5 on the Hot R&B and Rap Track charts from his Platinum award-winning album, “The Great Adventures of Slick Rick.”

Previously L-Smooth launched a campaign to raise medical funding and awareness for a 10 year old Oklahoma child, Demarion Pittman.  At the tender age of 3 years old, a life-threatening negligent accident during daycare caused Demarion long suffering with Epilepsy, Blindness, Neurological Disorders, severe Brain Damage, and left him without the use of his arms. “My merchandise table at this concert will include, “Hope for the Future” bracelets in honor of Demarion. The donation cost is $8.00. Informational materials will be included at my table to bring exposure to our campaign,” said L-Smooth.  “As a parent, there is nothing more frightening than your child being injured.  Accidents do happen so I would hope to see Demarion's Law effective nationwide. It would help put single parents or families at ease when sending their children to a home daycare.”
