Hill & Partners Diagnosis a Case of Commercial Environment Branding for Sekisui Diagnostics

With an impeccable 30 year track record of successful development, manufacturing and distribution of clinical diagnostics products throughout the world, Sekisui Diagnostics tasked Hill & Partners with transforming its lobby in Lexington, MA from a stark space to an environment that reflected the excellence that has become synonymous with the Sekisui brand.

The project was spearheaded by Sekisui’s Sr. Marketing Communications Associate, Maureen Trickett, and the company’s Global Marketing Communications Director, Lisa Williams. Hill & Partners carried out their desired objectives by integrating a digital product timeline that allowed for the convenience of real time updates while incorporating varying design textures to create a striking visual element. Following the timeline, Hill & Partners installed a three-piece translucent fiber panel structure that displayed a dimensional brushed aluminum Sekisui Diagnostic logo.

Keeping on the line of site created by the panel structure running in parallel with the timeline and custom installed window treatments, Hill & Partners painted the rear wall of the lobby and created the company’s core value wall. Hill & Partners’ design team also imported a much needed breath of fresh air to Sekisui’s austere reception area with a floating overhead lighting detail and a revitalized reception desk.

The final piece of the re-design puzzle came from the challenge of installing corporate presentation capabilities near the entry way, without the eye sore of a standard television screen. Hill & Partners achieved this by continuing the use of the three-piece translucent fiber panel structure and instead of a logo, the design detail was to house a television monitor while effectively keeping all wiring out of plain site.
