Jim Breuer To Perform One-Night-Only Show at Celebrity Ballroom at Foxwoods

MASHANTUCKE, Conn. - Nov. 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Comix at Foxwoods presents a special one-night-only performance from the legendary and lovable Jim Breuer live at the Celebrity Ballroom at Foxwoods on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 8:00 p.m.

With over 20 years of stand-up comedy experience, Jim Breuer remains one of today’s top entertainers and continues to win over audiences with his off-the-wall humor and lovable personality. Named one of Comedy Central's "100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time," Breuer is one of the most recognizable comedians in the business and is known for his charismatic stage antics, dead-on impressions and family-friendly stand-up performances.

Prior to gaining national notoriety, Breuer was a stand-out talent on the little-known “Uptown Comedy Club” weekly television show, based out of Harlem, New York. Subsequently, Jim Breuer first rose to fame as a cast member of “Saturday Night Live” from 1995 to 1998.On SNL, Breuer's characters included "Goat Boy" (who hosted the fictional MTV program "Hey, Remember the 80s?") and Glen Henderson, the elder brother to Chris Kattan’s Todd Henderson/Azrael Abyss character in the “Goth Talk” skits.

In 2002, Breuer's first one-hour Comedy Central special, "Hardcore," premiered. The same year, he released a comedy album titled “Smoke 'n' Breu.” In July of 2009, Breuer's second one-hour Comedy Central special, "Let's Clear the Air," premiered on Comedy Central and came in as one of the highest-rated comedy specials in the network’s history.

In radio, Breuer was a sit-in comedian on the “Opie and Anthony Show” for many years during the show’s WNEW-FM tenure. His "Breuer Bits" segement were often played whenever the show was on hiatus. After the Sirius/XM merger went into effect, Breuer returned to the “Opie and Anthony Show” for the first time in six years. In August of 2008. Today, Breuer is the host of “Fridays with Jim Breuer,” which can be heard each Friday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. on the Sirius/XM "Raw Dog Comedy."

In 2008, Breuer went on his first tour in six years known as the "Breuniversity Tour" where he toured over 20 colleges and comedy clubs across the country. The footage was used in his documentary “More Than Me,” as well as his 4 hour DVD “The Jim Breuer Road Journals,”both of which were released in 2010. published the book, “I'm Not High (But I've Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior).”

In January 2011, Breuer launched a podcast called "The Podcast Masters" with fellow comedian Pete Correale. The podcast is available for download on iTunes.
