Follow on Google News | Euroferries Express Supports Headley Court At Millwall’s Brentford MatchBy: Euroferries Express Euroferries Express, principal sponsors of Millwall FC, welcomes the chance to support fundraising for Headley Court, the Royal Air Force and Joint Services medical rehabilitation centre. Headley Court provides clinical rehabilitation, training and personnel for the operational role and research in order to achieve optimal levels of health and fitness. Headley Court was purchased by the Institute of Chartered Auctioneers and Estate Agents who presented the estate to The Royal Air Force thro' the Air Ministry in 1946 to commemorate the Battle of Britain. During the war years Headley Court was the headquarters of The First Canadian Army. Soon after the war it became the rehabilitation centre for pilots and aircrew who had been injured during the war. Its role has changed somewhat and it is now functional to all three services in the rehabilitation of serving personnel who are undergoing recovery from injury or illness. Within the DMRC (defence medical rehabilitation unit) are medical & rehabilitation divisions that cater for the needs of patients, a training and research element to improve military rehabilitation needs and a support division that is solely responsible for the smooth running of the unit. DMRC is currently undergoing changes to ensure that rehabilitation is carried out earlier in the treatment cycle. Treatment of amputees and polytrauma patients are now a major part of the DRMC contribution to military healthcare. Euroferries Express became principal sponsors for MFC earlier this year. Having been welcomed by the directors and supporting club fans in this embryo stage for the company, Euroferries Express wish to thank them for their continued support. Euroferries Express selected charity is The National Autistic Society, (the leading UK charity for people with autism (including Asperger syndrome) and their families providing information, support and pioneering services, and campaigning for a better world for people with autism) --------------------------------------------------------Ends For more information on Euroferries express please contact Lynn on 01342 324513 or email: lynn@goodcompanypublicity.co.uk End
