Follow on Google News | Tango Tablet Stand Wins $30,000 at Entrepreneurship CompetitionBy: Tango Three firms won that day, with Tango tying with another firm for top place, winning a $30,000 grant. Out of 20 initial submissions for the competition, 15 were chosen to give one-minute pitches in front of several judges, all of whom are local business owners. Wetzel gave her pitch in the morning, answered judge’s questions, and then waited for the final four to be selected for the afternoon’s scheduled 10-minute presentations. Of the four chosen, Tango was the only woman-owned firm. After the presentations, along with an additional Q&A from the judges, Tango was awarded the funding. Unlike competitor models in the marketplace, Tango’s benefits include being: v portable – it can be folded into and carried in a briefcase, purse, or backpack v versatile – it can be used on a flat surface or with the mounting system, suspended from under a cabinet or shelf or against a wall v durable – it is made of aluminum and plastic v beautifully designed – it comes in multiple color options Tango’s versatility is noteworthy, offering multi-view, multi angle, multi-environment, and multi-device convenience. It mounts under cabinets or shelves or against the wall, allowing the tablet to be turned up to 360 degrees with just one finger, in 1 degree increments. When connected to a flat surface, the tablet can be adjusted horizontally or vertically to any angle. Also accommodating phablets, Tango is ideal for use when traveling—on the airplane and at conferences and hotels. In addition, Tango allows the user to create a mini-desktop, supporting a wi-fi keyboard and mouse. Tango allows hands-free use, keeping valuable technology secure and up and out of the way. Tango will be marketed to consumers and businesses, with a targeted production launch at the end of 2014 or early 2015.
