ST. George Utah Jiffy Lube Awarded “Best Looking Lube” By National Publication

GEORGE, Utah - Nov. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- St. George, UT, November 5, 2014 – The new Jiffy Lube service center within the Boulder Creek Commons retail development located at the intersection of River Road and 1450 South was awarded first place in the National Oil & Lube News contest for best looking service center.

The November issue of the National Oil & Lube News (NOLN) highlights five quick lubes across the country, including centers in Texas, Iowa, Michigan and North Carolina, as overall winners in the “best looking lube” category. The St. George location received the top spot with its “very sleek, modern design,” wrote one judge.

The location was said to possess a “certain cool factor that won over this year’s judges”. The article continues: “There’s no reason a fast lube can’t be both beautiful and functional. This Jiffy Lube is one such place. Beauty, brains and bottles of oil! This shop is first-rate, from its landscaping to its storage room.”

The winning location is owned by Jiffy Lube franchisees Kelly Kent, Kelly Thompson and Matt Johnson, who have more than 60 years’ experience in the quick lube industry and own and operate seventeen Jiffy Lube locations in Utah, including sites in Utah, Iron and Washington counties. The Boulder Creek location is their third Jiffy Lube location in Washington County, complementing existing operations on Sunset Blvd in St. George and Red Cliffs Drive in Washington.

Construction began on the site in early spring 2014. The new Jiffy Lube is approximately 2,294 square feet and includes three bays, a basement, customer lounge and restrooms, checkout counter, office, employee training room and storage.

A grand opening celebration is planned at the location at 1393 S. River Road on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A St. George Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for Friday, November 14, 2014.

The Jiffy Lube service center in Boulder Creek Commons was developed by NovaSource Sun West, a retail developer headquartered in Salt Lake City, and built by the southwest office of Westland Construction.
