Mrs. Tes Scanlon named as Mrs. USA United Nations 2015

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Nov. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- It is my privilege and honor to announce that Mrs. Tes Scanlon of Annapolis, Maryland has been selected and invited after rigorous rounds of eliminations to represent USA at the United Nations Pageants Talent, Athletics and Academic Competition as Mrs. USA United Nations 2015.

Tes Scanlon is a sincere, talented, genuine, passionate, self-empowered, influential, innovative and creative woman.  She is a Cable Broadcast Consultant, Interior Designer and Decorator. She has worked with many local and national charities and is a strong advocate for Organ Donor Awareness.  As an emergency driver, she has transported donated organs for life-saving transplants.  Tes has worked with Women Build – Habitat for Humanity and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, helping patients and families make care packages for wounded soldiers overseas.

Tes is a 4-year brain tumor survivor and is working as an Ambassador for the Johns Hopkins Pituitary Center to raise awareness and funds for Pituitary Tumor research. She created the website, YourHealthcareJournal.com to provide Personal Healthcare information in an easy to understand format with links to national organizations and health centers.

One thing that really stands out is Tes Scanlon’s genuineness and sincerity that is radiated in everything she does. She not only preaches self-empowerment, she also exemplifies and radiates it herself. Tes doesn’t think of herself as a poor deprived youth who is making good. She thinks of herself as someone who from an early age, knew she had to make the best of her opportunities. She believes that her greatest discovery of all is that a person can change her future by merely changing her attitude and the biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.

At the age of 54, Tes did not expect to be competing in a pageant, but says “After getting through the last 4 years of my life, I knew the best way to promote the importance of personal healthcare was to compete for Mrs. United Nations 2015, a pageant that strives to empower both men and women across world and celebrate their accomplishments. She is the true epitome of a substantially successful young American and has been able not only to make a difference in her own life, but in the lives of others.

Tes and her husband Robert have been married for 33 years and their two sons, Kyle and Trevor, currently live and work in the Los Angeles area.

The week long pageant will be held July 12 -19, 2015 in Kingston, Jamaica with the World Finals to be held on July 18, 2015 at Courtleigh Auditorium, 8 St Lucia Avenue, Kingston, Jamaica.

Delegates From across the world will compete in Interview, Sports Wear, Evening Gown & Fashion Wear events for the titles of Miss Teen United Nations, Mr. Teen United Nations, Miss United Nations, Mr. United Nations, Ms. United Nations, and Mrs. United Nations.

Winners will receive thousands of dollars in cash and prizes and will be featured in National promotions. In addition to the competition, delegates will enjoy days of sightseeing, a press conference, photo shoots, parties the annual Queens Banquet, Coronation Ball & Queens Awards Breakfast.
