Silverleaf Resorts, Inc. Announces the Grand Opening of Its Second Indoor Water Park

CHICAGO - Nov. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- "The opening of Pirate’s Cay Indoor Water Park at Fox River Resort marks another milestone for Silverleaf Resorts, Inc. as we continue to enhance our resorts and increase our appeal to both new customers and existing members," said Thomas J. Morris, CEO of Silverleaf Resorts, Inc.

The indoor water park is approximately 20,000 square feet and features a signature bucket dump with a pirate themed splash play area, lazy river and four indoor/outdoor slides. The completely glass-enclosed recreational area is climate controlled and features a retractable roof for pleasant summer days.  The 11,000 square foot entry building includes The Ship’s Galley featuring Subway® and Mama DeLuca’s® Pizza, The Treasure Chest – a souvenir gift shop, The Sand Bar for cool cocktails, an arcade filled with the latest electronic adventures, along with Party/Event space, changing rooms and showers. While the resort itself will remain “members only”, Pirate’s Cay will be open to the general public as well (Fox River Resort members will receive discounted admission to the park).

Situated on the banks of the Fox River, the Fox River Resort is located a stone’s throw away from the hamlet of Norway, the first Norwegian settlement in the United States. For resort members, an abundance of activities are available on the resort grounds and in the nearby hills of the region. Fox River Resort currently features 268 vacation ownership condominiums with 16 Presidential suites under construction along with a 48-unit Studio building. Silverleaf has been part of the La Salle County and the Sheridan/Norway communities since 1997.

The resort’s economic impact to the area is significant with 225 full-time and part-time employees already working for Fox River Resort. Pirate’s Cay is expected to  generate an additional 60-80 job opportunities.
